Fair Pricing Policy

Every fee you pay on GatiMitra — disclosed upfront, capped where the law requires, and itemised on your receipt. Aligned with Consumer Protection Act 2019, Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020 §5(2), and Motor Vehicles Aggregator Guidelines 2020.
#1. Principles
- No hidden charges. Every fee is shown at the order / booking screen before you pay.
- No surprise post-trip fees. What you saw at booking is what we charge (tolls / parking are added with receipts when applicable).
- Capped where the law caps. Surge ≤ 1.5× base on rides; delivery surcharges follow the same logic.
- Itemised receipt. Every component on every receipt.
- Same price across users. No demographic-based price discrimination.
- Refundable on error. Any overcharge is refunded — see Refund Policy.

#3. Where price is locked

We never re-price during your trip silently.
#4. Same price for everyone
We do not vary pricing based on:
- Caste, religion, gender, age, language.
- Mobile model / OS version.
- Your past spending pattern, ratings, or location stickers.
- Time you opened the app vs. your friend's price for the same trip at the same moment.
If you and a friend book the same trip at the same moment from the same city, you'll see the same price.
(Promotions, however, are personalised by city, plan, and offer eligibility. These reduce — never increase — your price.)
#5. Promotional offers

Discounts are applied before you pay; you see the final amount.
#6. Transparency reports
Aggregate pricing transparency:
- Average ride fare by city, by hour, by vehicle category.
- Surge frequency by city.
- Average delivery fee by city.
- Number of fare disputes / outcomes.

#7. Fare audits
Any fare you dispute is re-audited by:
- Comparing the trip distance against the shortest reasonable route.
- Verifying the surge multiplier at the booking timestamp.
- Verifying tolls / parking receipts.
Refund issued for any error to your wallet within 48 hours.

GST tax invoices include our GSTIN, the partner's GSTIN where applicable, line-item breakdown, and trip / order ID.

#10. Statutory rights
This Policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.

Material changes trigger an in-app re-consent.
